Yohanes 15:9-17

“Jikalau kamu menuruti perintah-KU, kamu akan tinggal didalam kasih-KU, sama seperti Aku menuruti perintah Bapa-Ku dan tinggal didalam kasih-Nya.” (ayat 10 ) Yesus mengulang lagi perintah-Nya kepada murid-murid supaya mereka hidup dalam suasana saling mengasihi. Ini membuktikan bahwa perihal saling mengasihi adalah hal yang penting. Kasih Bapa kepada Kristus menjadi pola yang sama akan kasih Kristus terhadap murid-murid-Nya. Bapa telah mengasihi Anak dan Anak telah mengasihi mereka yang dipilih-Nya, maka sekarang mereka yang telah dipilih-Nya harus saling mengasihi karena adalah bagian dari pola kasih tersebut. Jika mereka menolak untuk hidup saling mengasihi, berarti mereka bukan bagian dari persekutuan Bapa dan Anak. Mereka telah menerima kasih itu, jadi mereka harus memberikannya kepada yang lain pula, sama seperti Kristus telah menerima kasih dari Bapa dan memberikannya kepada murid-murid. Tidak berhenti sampai disitu, mereka juga dituntut untuk tinggal dalam kasih-Nya, dengan cara hidup menurut perintah-Nya. Ada akibat lain ketika mereka menuruti perintah-Nya, yakni mereka disebut sebagai sahabat-Nya dan bukan lagi sebagai hamba. Untuk para sahabat inilah Kristus sebagai sahabat mereka rela memberikan nyawa-Nya sebagai bukti bahwa Ia sungguh sungguh mengasihi mereka, Begitu pula dengan kita. Kematian-Nya juga untuk kita sebagai bukti bahwa Ia juga mengasihi kita. Dengan demikian kita tahu bahwa Ia telah memberikan kasih-Nya kepada kita. Maka kita pun wajib saling mengasihi satu dengan yang lainnya. Jika kita telah sungguh-sungguh mengalami kasih-Nya, maka tidaklah berat untuk kita hidup dalam suasana saling mengasihi. Maka lihatlah kepada diri sendiri, adakah kita telah mengalami kasih-Nya atau kasih itu hanya sebatas ucapan bibir belaka. Jika kita mau taat akan perintah-Nya,kita akan dapat mengamalkan kasih persaudaraan yang tulus ikhlas dengan sungguh-sungguh ( 1 petrus 1:22 ). John 15:9-17

“If you obey MY commandments, ye shall live in My love, just as I obey my Father and live in His love.” (Verse 10) Jesus reiterated his command to his disciples that they live in an atmosphere of mutual love. This proves that the subject of mutual love is important. Father’s love for Christ into the same pattern for the love of Christ to the disciples of his. Father has loved the Son and the Son have chosen their loved Him, so now they have chosen him must love one another as part of a pattern of love is. If they refuse to love one another live, meaning they are not part of the fellowship of the Father and the Son. They have received the love of it, so they had to give it to others too, just as Christ has received the love of the Father and gave it to the disciples. Does not stop there, they are also required to live in His love, a way of life according to His command. There’s another result when they obey His commands, which they described as his best friend and no longer as a slave. For the friends it is Christ as their friend had willingly give his life as proof that he really truly loved them, so it is with us. His death for us is proof that He loves us. Thus we know that He has given his own love for us. Therefore we must love one another. If we have truly experienced His love, it is not hard for us to live in an atmosphere of mutual love. So look to ourselves, whether we have experienced His love, or love is only limited to mere lips. If we want to obey His commands, we will be able to practice brotherly love sincere sincerely (1 Peter 1:22). Have, to live in His love and that love is the Practice
