YOHANES 19:31-37

“Tetapi seorang diantara prajurit itu menikam lambung-Nya dengan tombak, dan segera mengalir keluar darah dan air” (ayat 34). Memelihara tuntutan-tuntutan upacara merupakan hal yang penting bagi orang Yahudi. Untuk itulah mereka tidak membolehkan mayat tetap ada dikayu salib ketika Sabat tiba, maka merekapun meminta kepada Pilatus untuk mematahkan kaki orang-orang yang sedang disalib supaya mereka dapat segera menurunkan mayatnya. Jadi mematahkan kaki seorang yang disalib bukanlah bagian dari proses hukuman salib, tapi merupakan upaya untuk mempercepat kematian seorang yang disalib. Maka para prajurit yang bertugas segera mematahkan kaki dua penjahat yang disalib disamping Yesus. Tapi ketika mereka sampai kepada Yesus, mereka melihat bahwa Yesus telah mati, jadi tidak perlu lagi dipatahkan kaki-Nya. Namun untuk memastikan bahwa Yesus sungguh-sungguh telah mati, seorang prajurit menusuk lambung Yesus dengan tombak, maka segeralah keluar darah dan air dari lambung-Nya. Dengan demikian genap lah apa yang tertulis dalam Kitab Suci bahwa tidak ada dari tulang-Nya yang dipatahkan dan juga bagaimana prajurit itu memandang kepada Dia yang telah ia tikam. Dalam arti rohani darah dan air yang keluar dari lambung Yesus merupakan tanda lahirnya gereja. Maka secara pribadi, kelahiran baru atau hidup baru seseorang juga harus ditandai dengan hal yang sama, darah dan air yakni pertobatan dan baptisan, maka kita akan dibenarkan oleh kasih karunia-Nya dan berhak menerima hidup kekal sesuai dengan pengharapan kita (Titus 3:3-7). TANPA KELAHIRAN KEMBALI, KITATIDAK DAPAT MELIHAT KERAJAAN ALLAH.

JOHN 19:31-37

“But one of the soldier pierced him with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water” (verse 34). Maintaining the demands of the ceremony is important for the Jews. For those that do not allow the bodies remain on the cross when the Sabbath came, then they asked Pilate to break the legs of those who were crucified so that they can be immediately lowered his body. So break the legs of the crucified one was not part of the punishment of the cross, but an attempt to accelerate the death of a crucified. So the soldiers on duty immediately break the legs of two criminals who were crucified beside Jesus. But when they came to Jesus, they saw that Jesus had died, so no longer need his broken leg. However, to ensure that Jesus really had died, a soldier pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out of his stomach. Thus is fulfilled what is written in Scripture that none of his bones broken and also how the soldiers looked to him that he had stabbed. In a spiritual sense of blood and water coming out of the stomach is a sign of the birth of Jesus Church. So personally, the new birth or new life, a person must also be marked with the same thing, blood and water that is repentance and baptism, then we would be justified by his grace, and heirs of eternal life in accordance with our expectations (Titus 3:3-7). REBIRTH NO, WE CAN NOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
