KISAH RASUL 5:26-42

“Rasul-rasul itu meninggalkan sidang Mahkamah Agama dengan gembira, karena mereka telah diang-gap layak menderita penghinaan oleh karena Nama Yesus” (ayat 41). Mereka yang ketakutan oleh karena lepasnya rasul-rasul dari penjara, begitu mendengar rasul-rasul itu ada di Bait Allah, segera pergi kesana untuk mengambil mereka, tapi tidak dengan kekerasan karena takut orang banyak akan melempari mereka dengan batu. Dihadapan Mahkamah Agama mereka kembali dilarang untuk menga-jar dalam Nama Yesus, tapi Petrus dengan penuh keberanian menjawab bahwa mereka harus lebih taat kepada Allah daripada taat kepada manusia. Alasannya adalah karena Yesus, yakni Dia yang telah dibangkitkan Allah untuk menjadi Pemimpin dan Juru selamat, telah begitu rupa menderita untuk kese-lamatan mereka. Dan penderitaan yang dialami oleh Yesus itu sendiri dilakukan oleh orang-orang Ya-hudi itu sendiri. Sidang itu tersinggung, mereka tertusuk hatinya dan bermaksud membunuh mereka. Namun setelah mendengar nasehat Gamaliel, mereka mengurungkan niatnya dan membebaskan rasul-rasul itu. Rasul-rasul begitu gembira, bukan hanya karena mereka dilepaskan, terlebih karena mereka telah dianggap layak untuk menderita karena Nama Yesus. Pengalaman itu tidak menghentikan pelaya-nan rasul-rasul, sebaliknya mereka tetap setia melakukan nya. Ketika kita mampu menghargai korban Kristus, sikap militan dalam iman juga pasti mampu kita tunjukkan. Tidak ada kekuatan apapun yang mampu membuat kita mundur dari iman bahkan kita juga memperlengkapi pikiran kita untuk siap menderita bagi Injil-Nya, menderita karena kebenaran. Maka pencobaan bukan lagi sebagai sesuatu yang menakutkan, tapi kita anggap sebagai sebuah kebahagiaan karena hal itu justru akan menghasil-kan mahkota kehidupan (Yakobus 1:2-4, 12).

KEPADA KITA JUGA DIBERIKAN KARUNIA UNTUK MENDERITA BAGI KRISTUS.

Acts 5:26-42
“The apostles left the Sanhedrin trial with joy, because they have been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name Jesus” (verse 41). They are scared because of the loss of the apostles from prison, event they heard the apostles in the temple, immediately went there to take them, but not by force for fear people will be pelted them with stones. Sanhedrin before they return to Why forbidden jar in the Name of Jesus, but Peter boldly replied that they must obey God rather than obedience to men. The reason is because Jesus, that He who has been raised by God to be a leader and Savior, has been so much suffering for their safety. And suffering experienced by Jesus himself made by the Jews themselves. The trial was offended, they pierced his heart and meant to kill them. But after hearing the advice of Gamaliel, they thought better of it and free the other apostles. Apostles so excited, not only because they are released, especially since they have been deemed worthy to suffer for Jesus’ name. The experience did not stop the ministry apostles nan, otherwise they remain loyal to him. When we are able to appreciate the sacrifice of Christ, militant attitude of faith is also bound to our show. No power anything that could make us retreat from even our faith also equip our minds to be ready to suffer for His gospel, suffering because of righteousness. So the temptation is no longer as something scary, but we consider it as a joy because it will only produce a crown of life (James 1:2-4, 12).
