KISAH RASUL 3:1-10

“Tetapi Petrus berkata: “Emas dan perak tidak ada padaku, tetapi apa yang kupunyai, kuberi kan kepadamu: Demi nama Yesus Kristus, orang Nazaret itu, berjalanlah !”(ayat 6). Para Rasul dan orang percaya masih mengikuti kebiasaan orang Yahudi pada umumnya, yakni pergi ke Bait Suci. Status mereka yang baru tidak serta membuat mereka memandang rendah apa yang telah mereka terima dari Allah dari masa lalu. Maka demikianlah Petrus dan Yohanes, pada waktu sembahyang sore, yakni pu-kul tiga petang, pergi ke Bait Suci. Perjalanan mereka dihentikan oleh seorang lumpuh yang meminta sedekah di Gerbang Indah. Namun Petrus tidak memberikan apa yang diminta oleh si lumpuh karena yang dimintanya tidak ada padanya . Tapi Petrus memiliki sesuatu yang jauh lebih berharga dari seke-dar sedekah, dan itulah yang ia berikan kepada si lumpuh tersebut, yaitu kuasa yang ada dalam nama Yesus Kristus yang mampu mengadakan jauh lebih banyak dari apa yang dianggap perlu oleh silum-puh. Kuasa Roh Kudus yang terus berkarya dalam Petrus bekerja dalan nama Yesus Kristus yang membuat silumpuh tersebut mendapat sesuatu yang lebih baik, ia dapat berjalan lagi. Kuasa Roh Kudus bukan hanya membuat Petrus berwibawa dalam khotbahnya, tapi juga dalam tindakannya. Menerima ataupun menjadi berkat tidak harus dalam hal materi atau jasmani. Ada sesuatu yang lebih berharga dari hal-hal yang bersifat materi, yakni menyatakan dan mengalami kasih dan kuasa Allah. Bila kita sudah mengalami kasih dan kuasa Allah, bagikanlah itu untuk menjadi berkat yang memper-muliakan nama Tuhan, tidak harus menunggu keberkatan secara jasmani. Setiap kita memiliki sesuatu yang baik yang bisa dibagikan, itulah harta dalam bejana tanah liat, bagikanlah itu (2 Korintus 4:7).

KEKAYAAN ROHANI LEBIH BERHARGA DARIPADA EMAS DAN PERAK.

Acts 3:1-10

“But Peter said:” Gold and silver do not have it, but what I’ve got, give it to you: the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk! “(Verse 6). The Apostles and believers still follow the custom of the Jews in general, which went to the Temple. Their new status and make them not despise what they have received from God from the past. So so Peter and John, at the time of evening prayers, the afternoon at three o’clock, went to the Temple. Journey they were stopped by a paralyzed man who asks for alms at the Beautiful Gate. But Peter did not give what is asked by the paralyzed since he was asking was not available to him. But Peter had something far more valuable than just charity, and that’s what he gave to the paralyzed man, namely that there is power in the name of Jesus Christ that can hold far more than what is deemed necessary by the man. Power of the Holy Spirit who continues to work in Peter’s work in the name of Jesus Christ that makes the lame person gets something better, he could walk again. The power of the Holy Spirit not only makes Peter authoritative in his sermon, but also in actions. Receive or do not have to be a blessing in terms of material or physical. There is something more valuable than the things that are material, namely states and experience the love and power of God. When we have experienced the love and power of God, share it to be a blessing that glorified the name of God, do not have to wait for physical blessings. Each of us has something good that can be distributed, that is the treasure in earthen vessels, share it (2 Corinthians 4:7).
SPIRITUAL WEALTH MORE VALUABLE THAN GOLD AND SILVER.
