KISAH RASUL 11:19-30

“Mereka tinggal bersama dengan jemaat itu satu tahun lamanya, sambil mengajar banyak orang. Di Antiokhia murid-murid itu untuk pertama kalinya disebut Kristen” (ayat 26). Injil terus tersebar ke daerah-daerah non Yahudi melalui orang-orang percaya yang lari dari Yerusalem. Mereka yang tersebar itu tidak hanya memikirkan dan mencari keselamatan diri sendiri, tapi juga memikirkan keselamatan orang lain dengan jalan dimanapun mereka berada, mereka memberitakan Injil keselamatan tersebut. Melihat perkembangan Injil yang telah sampai kepada bangsa-bangsa lain, maka jemaat di Yerusalem mengutus Barnabas untuk meneguhkan iman petobat-petobat baru tersebut. Barnabas mencari Paulus di Tarsus untuk bersama-sama melayani. Satu tahun mereka tinggal di Antiokhia membawa dampak yang baik oleh karena mereka bersama-sama dengan jemaat disana bisamenunjukkan kehidupan yang berbeda dalam arti yang positif yakni berkelakuan sepadan dengan Injil yang mereka beritakan, maka merekapun disebut oleh penduduk Antiokhia sebagai orang Kristen. Jadi harus dimengerti bahwa orang percaya waktu itu tidak menyebarkan agama Kristen, tapi memberitakan Injil keselamatan. Kekristenan bukan soal agama, Kekristenan itu soal keselamatan dan kehidupan seperti Kristus. Agama Kristen tidak menyelamatkan, iman yang ada didalamnyalah yang menyelamatkan. Maka jangan berbangga dengan hanya menjadi orang yang beragama Kristen, dan jangan menganggap agama lain diluar Kris-ten tidak baik. Jika kita hanya beragama Kristen yang belum yakin dengan keselamatan dan juga tidak hidup sepadan dengan Injil, kitalah orang yang justru patut dikasihani dan harus di Injili. Kekristenan bicara soal iman yang hidup dan sikap hidup itu sendiri, maka milikilah hidup yang berpadanan dengan Injil Kristus (Filipi 1:27).

JADILAH PENGIKUT KRISTUS YANG BAIK.

Acts 11:19-30

“They lived together with the church one year’s duration, while teaching many people. In Antioch the disciples were first called Christians “(verse 26). Continue to spread the Gospel to the regions through the non-Jewish believers who fled from Jerusalem. They are spread not only to think and seek their own safety, but also think about the safety of others in the street wherever they are, they preach the gospel of salvation. Seeing the development of gospel that has come to the Gentiles, the church at Jerusalem sent Barnabas to confirm the faith of new converts. Barnabas find Paul in Tarsus to serve together. One year they lived in Antioch brought a good impact because they, together with the church there can show a different life in a positive sense of behavior commensurate with the gospel they preached, they are called by the inhabitants of Antioch as Christians. So should understand that people believe that time is not spread Christianity, but preaching the gospel of salvation. Christianity is not about religion, Christianity is about salvation and life like Christ. Christianity is not saved, faith in him there was a save. So do not be proud to just be people who are Christians, and do not consider other religions outside of Christianity is not good. If we are Christians and not sure about the safety and also not commensurate with the gospel of life, then we are just someone to be pitied and must be at Evangelical. Christianity talk about faith and attitude of life itself, so Have a life worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27).
