KISAH RASUL 10:1-48

“Lalu mulailah Petrus berbicara, katanya: “Sesungguhnya aku telah mengerti, bahwa Allah tidak membedakan orang” (ayat 34). Lawatan Allah terus terjadi atas mereka non Yahudi, seperti yang dialami oleh Kornelius, seorang perwira pasukan Italia. Allah berkenan atas doa-doa dan juga sedekah yang telah Kornelius persembahkan, maka Ia kembali memakai Petrus untuk menyatakan diri-Nya kepada Kornelius dan seisi rumahnya. Kornelius taat, ia bertindak sesuai dengan perintah yang ia terima melalui malaikat Tuhan untuk memanggil Petrus. Dan bagi Petrus, hal itu merupakan pembelajaran tersendiri baginya. Melalui penglihatan yang diterimanya, Petrus belajar bahwa Allah tidak membedakan orang, siapa saja dari bangsa mana saja yang takut akan Dia dan mengamalkan kebenaran, dikenan Allah. Petrus harus mematahkan belenggu hukum, tradisi dan adat istiadat nenek moyang yang mengikat dirinya untuk dapat mengerti bahwa Allah tidak membedakan orang dan ia sendiri tidak boleh menyebut orang lain najis atau tidak tahir. Allah mengasihi Kornelius dan Ia mau memakai Petrus untuk itu, maka Ia lebih dahulu mengerjakan pribadi Petrus. Kornelius taat, Petrus taat, maka kuasa Allah dinyatakan melalui turun-nya Roh Kudus atas semua orang yang mendengarkan pemberitaan Petrus. Allah mengasihi semua orang dan melalui kehidupan orang percaya Ia mau menyatakan kasih-Nya itu. Untuk itu orang percaya harus lebih dahulu diperbaharui untuk memiliki hati seperti hati-Nya, memiliki mata seperti mata-Nya. Orang percaya harus bebas dari kungkungan kebenaran diri sendiri, barulah ia dapat menyatakan kasih Allah sebab kebenaran diri sendiri itulah yang menjadi penghalang untuk kita dapat menyatakan kasih Allah kepada sekeliling kita. Pandang dengan kacamata Allah, ladang sudah menguning dan siap untuk dituai dan didorong dengan kasih-Nya kita akan melakukannya (Yohanes 4:35-38).

JANGAN AMALKAN KASIH DENGAN MEMANDANG MUKA.

Acts 10:1-48

“Then Peter spoke, he said:” I have understood, that God does not distinguish between people “(verse 34). God tour continues to happen to them non-Jews, like that of Cornelius, an Italian army officer. Pleased God to the prayers and alms have also Cornelius offer, then he went back to Peter to declare himself to Cornelius and his household. Cornelius obeyed, he was acting in accordance with the orders he had received through the angel of the Lord to call Peter. And for Peter, it is her own learning. Through the vision he received, Peter learned that God does not distinguish people, anyone from any nation who fear him and practice the truth, be acceptable before God. Peter must break the shackles of law, traditions and ancestral customs that bound him to understand that God does not distinguish between people and he should not call anyone impure or not clean. God loves Cornelius and Peter was going to use for it, so first he personally did Peter. Cornelius obeyed, Peter obeyed, then the power of God is revealed through his off-the Holy Spirit on all people who hear the preaching of Peter. God loves all people and through the lives of people believe he would declare his love it. For that believers must first update to have a heart like His heart, with eyes like the eyes of his. The believer must be free from the confines of self-righteousness, then he can express God’s love for self righteousness that becomes a barrier for us to express God’s love to all around us. God’s eyes with sunglasses, and the yellowing fields ready for harvest and driven by his love we will do it (John 4:35-38).
