Menjadi Lebih Berarti ( Become more meaningful )

GALATIA 6:11-18

 “Sebab bersunat atau tidak bersunat tidak ada artinya, tetapi menjadi ciptaan baru, itulah yang ada artinya” (ayat 15).  Diakhir suratnya kepada orang Galatia, Paulus menegaskan dan meminta perhatian yang lebih dari jemaat akan segala sesuatu yang telah ia sampaikan.  Paulus sekali lagi mengingatkan mereka bahwa, mereka yang memaksa orang Galatia untuk bersunat hanyalah orang-orang yang hanya bermaksud untuk mencari keuntungan bagi diri mereka sendiri, yakni supaya mereka terhindari dari kesulitan oleh karena Injil. Faktanya adalah, mereka hanya bisa memaksa orang lain untuk bersunat, sementara mereka sendiri tidak memelihara hukum Taurat. Mereka senang melihat orang lain dalam kelemahan supaya mereka bisa nampak lebih baik, nampak lebih kuat dan nampak lebih benar. Tapi bagi Paulus, hal bersunat atau tidak bersunat itu tidak ada artinya, menjadi ciptaan baru dalam Kristus itulah yang ada artinya. Dan bagi mereka yang menganut pandangan tersebut dan mau menjalaninya, akan menikmati damai sejahtera dan rahmat dari Allah. Sebagai orang-orang yang telah ditebus, kita tidak lagi harus tunduk pada rupa-rupa peraturan keagamaan yang hanya untuk kepuasan daging. Hal itu bukan berarti peraturan itu tidak perlu, tapi ada kuasa yang lebih besar yang kepadanya kita harus tunduk, yaitu kehendak Allah. Memang peraturan dimaksudkan untuk membuat seseorang menjadi baik, tapi hal menjadi baik akan akan menjadi gaya hidup seorang ketika ia telah menjadi ciptaan baru, dan itu bukanlah hal yang dipaksakan seperti seorang yang terpaksa tunduk pada peraturan supaya kelihatan baik. Jadi tepatlah bila dikatakan bahwa menjadi ciptaan baru itu lebih penting daripada sekedar tunduk pada peraturan keagamaan karena terpaksa. Dan, siapa yang ada didalam Kristus, ia adalah ciptaan baru, yang lama telah berlalu sesungguhnya yang baru telah datang (2 Korintus 5:17).

Galatians 6:11-18

“For circumcised or uncircumcised means nothing, but a new creation, that’s what you meant” (verse 15). At the end of his letter to the Galatians, Paul asserted and demanded more attention from the community on everything that he has to say. Paul once again reminds them that they are forcing the Galatians to be circumcised only people who only intend to seek profit for themselves, namely that they avoided because of the difficulty of the Gospel. The fact is, they only can force others to be circumcised, while they themselves do not maintain the law. They love to see others in weakness so they can look better, seems more powerful and looks more correct. But for Paul, it’s circumcised or uncircumcised means nothing, became a new creation in Christ that is meaningless. And for those who hold this view and want to live it, will enjoy a prosperous and peaceful grace of God. As those who have been redeemed, we no longer have to submit to various religious regulations that are only for the satisfaction of meat. That does not mean that regulation is not necessary, but there is a greater power to whom we must obey, namely the will of God. Indeed the rules are intended to make a person better, but it would be good would be a way of life when he has become a new creation, and that was not imposed as a man forced to submit to regulation in order to look good. So is safe to say that the new creation is more important than subject to the regulations because of forced religious. And, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed a new fact has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).
