1 YOHANES 2:7-15

“Janganlah kamu mengasihi dunia dan apa yang ada didalamnya. Jikalau orang mengasihi dunia, maka kasih akan Bapa tidak ada dalam orang itu” (ayat 15).     Kasih adalah terang dan didalam terang pasti ada kasih. Jika seorang katakan bahwa ia hidup didalam terang tapi kenyataanya, dalam prakteknya ia masih membenci saudaranya, sesungguhnya ia masih hidup dalam kegelapan. Kasih yang ia miliki adalah kasih dunia, kasih emosi. Sebagaimana terang itu berkuasa untuk menelenjangi kegelapan, demi kian pula kasih yang benar akan mengatasi kebencian. Maka, siapapun orangnya, entah dia anak-anak, orang-orang muda ataupun orang tua, jika dalam hidupnya dikuasai oleh kasih yang benar, maka dia akan mengenal Allah, kuat dan mampu mengalahkan yang jahat. Penghalang untuk mempraktekkan kasih Allah adalah kasih akan dunia. Dua kenyataan kasih yang sangat berbeda antara kasih Allah dan kasih dunia. Jika kasih Allah itu memberi, maka kasih dunia itu mengambil. Jika kasih Allah terarah pada kebutuhan orang lain, kasih duniawi berpusat pada diri sendiri. Dengan dua kenyataan yang ber tolak belakang tersebut maka tidak mungkin seorang yang mengasihi dunia ini akan bisa mengasihi Bapa. Kasih akan Bapa bersifat kekal, tapi kasih dunia akan lenyap dengan segala keinginannya. Laku kan kehendak Allah untuk hidup dalam kasih-Nya, maka kita akan hidup. Mempraktekkan kasih Allah perlu pengorbanan dan penyangkalan diri sendiri karena seringkali kita harus mengeyampingkan keingin an diri sendiri demi orang lain. Dan untuk bisa mempratekkan dengan sesungguhnya, maka kasih akan dunia harus kita tekan sedemikian rupa. Seperti Petrus ditanya apakah ia mengasihi Yesus, demikian juga jika kita diperhadapkan Allah pada pertanyaan yang sama apakah jawab kita kepada Allah dan dapatkah kita membuktikannya? (Yohanes21:15-17).

 ORANG YANG MENGASIHI ALLAH DIKENAL OLEH ALLAH.

1 JOHN 2:7-15

“Love not the world and what is therein. If people loved the world, the love of the Father is not in man “(verse 15). Love is in the bright light and there must be love. If one says that he lives in the light but in reality, in practice he still hates his brother, it would still be alive in the darkness. The love he had was the love of the world, the love emotion. As the light was in power to illuminate the darkness, so true love will overcome hatred. So, whoever the person, whether he is the children, young people or parents, if in his life dominated by love that is true, then he would know God, strong and able to overcome the evil. Barriers to practice God’s love is the love of the world. Two very different realities of love between the love of God and love of the world. If the love of God that gives, the love of the world is taking. If the love of God focused on the needs of others, love of worldly self-centered. With two contrasting reality is it is not possible one who loves this world will be able to love the Father. Father’s love will be eternal, but love the world would disappear with all her wishes. Do it God’s will to live in His love, then we will live. Practicing God’s love needs sacrifice and self denial because we often have to ignore the wishes themselves for the sake of others. And to be able to apply to the real, the love of the world should we press in such a way. As Peter was asked if he loved Jesus, so also if we are faced with God on the same question whether we are accountable to God and can we prove it? (Yohanes21 :15-17).

PEOPLE THAT LOVE GOD, KNOWN BY GOD.

1 YOHANES 2:1-6

 “Dan Ia adalah pendamaian untuk segala dosa kita, dan bukan untuk dosa kita saja, tetapi juga untuk dosa seluruh dunia” (ayat 2).   Salah satu tujuan dari nasehat firman Tuhan adalah menghindarkan manusia dari perbuatan dosa. Namun sekalipun memang roh adalah penurut, tapi daging lemah, maka manusia seringkali melakukan apa yang tidak ingin ia perbuat, dan itu adalah perbuatan dosa. Dan Allah karena kasih dan keadilan-Nya menghadirkan seorang pengantara yang akan memperdamaikan orang berdosa dengan Allah melalui pengampunan dosa, yakni Yesus Kristus. Namun untuk kembali diper damaikan dengan Allah perlu yang namanya penundukan dan ketaatan akan firman Tuhan karena Allah sendiri tidak akan membiarkan diri-Nya dipermainkan. Penundukan dan ketaatan akan perintah-perintah Allah itu sendiri membuktikan bahwa seorang telah mengenal Dia. Sebaliknya  sekalipun seorang meng aku mengenal Allah tapi tidap melakukan perintah-perintah-Nya, dihadapan Allah ia dianggap sebagai seorang pendusta yang tidak memiliki kebenaran didalam dirinya. Tuntutan Allah jelas, bahwa barang siapa mengaku ia hidup didalam Dia, ia wajib hidupsama seperti Kristus telah hidup, taat dalam melakukan perintah Allah. Ketaatan kita dalam melakukan perintah-perintah Allah akan menghindarkan diri dari perbuatan dosa. Namun Allah mengenal siapa kita, manusia daging yang lemah, maka Ia tetap menyediakan pengampunan dosa untuk setiap pelanggaran melalui seorang pengantara, yakni Kristus Yesus asal kita juga tidak bermain-main dalam dosa. Dia yang tidak mengenal dosa telah dibuat-Nya menjadi dosa untuk mendamaikan manusia berdosa dengan Allah, maka beri diri untuk didamaikan dengan Allah dan tinggalkan dosa (2 Korintus 5:18-21).

HIDUPLAH DALAM PERDAMAIAN DENGAN ALLAH.

1 JOHN 2:1-6“And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (verse 2). One of the goals of advice word of God is to prevent people from acts of sin. But even if indeed the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, then people often do not do what he wants done, and it is a sin. And God for His mercy and justice to bring a mediator who will reconcile sinners with God through the forgiveness of sins, namely Jesus Christ. But to return reconciled to God required the subjection of self and obedience to the word of God because God himself will not allow himself mocked. Subjugation and obedience to the commandments of God itself proves that one has to know Him. Conversely even if a claim to know God but did not do his commandments, before God he is regarded as a liar who has no truth in him. God demands clear, that anyone who claims he lives in Him, he must live as Christ lived, obedient in doing God’s command. Our obedience in doing God’s commandments will shy away from acts of sin. But God knows who we are, human flesh is weak, then He is still providing the forgiveness of sins to each violation through a mediator, namely Christ Jesus as long as we also do not play around in sin. He who knew no sin has made him become sin to reconcile sinful man with God, then give yourselves to be reconciled with God and leave sin (2 Corinthians 5:18-21).

LIVE IN  PEACE WITH GOD.

1 YOHANES 1:5-10

 “Tetapi jika kita hidup di dalam terang sama seperti Dia ada didalam terang, maka kita beroleh persekutuan seorang dengan yang lain, dan darah Yesus, Anak-Nya itu, menyucikan kita dari pada segala dosa” (ayat 7).  Pengenalan rasul Yohanes akan firman hidup membawanya pada pengenalan akan keadaan Allah yang adalah terang. Terang yang ada pada Allah adalah benar-benar terang dan tidak ada kegelapan sama sekali didalam Dia. Maka, jika orang percaya juga mau benar-benar hidup didalam terang sama seperti Allah ada di dalam terang, maka akan terjadi persekutuan antara orang percaya dengan Allah. Tanda awal bahwa seorang hidup dalam terang adalah mampu mengenali dirinya sendiri bahwa ia adalah orang berdosa yang membutuhkan belas kasihan dan pengampunan Allah. Orang yang tidak mampu mengenali keberdosaannya sekalipun ia mengaku percaya dan hidup beribadah kepada Allah, sesungguhnya tidak memiliki kebenaran didalam dirinya yang membuat ia hidup dalam bayang-bayang kegelapan. Sebaliknya orang yang mau mengakui dirinya adalah orang berdosa dan mohon bela kasihan dan pengampunan Allah, maka Dia yang adalah setia dan adil akan mengampuni dan darah Yesus menyucikannya dari segala kejahatan. Keadaan itu akan membawa dia hidup dalam terang dan beroleh persekutuan dengan Allah. Mari kenali diri sendiri apakah kita sudah benar-benar hidup didalam terang ataukah masih didalam bayang-bayang kegelapan. Saat kita masih kuat memegang kebenaran diri sendiri, keadaan itu bagaikan kita sedang mengenakan kacamata hitam yang menghalangi kita untuk dapat melihat keadaan diri sendiri dengan jelas, maka lepaskan kacamata hitam tersebut dan kenali diri dengan jujur. Beri tempat sepenuhnya bagi firman Tuhan dalam hati karena firman Tuhan itulah yang akan menerangi hidup kita sehingga kita tidak berjalan dalam kegelapan tapi dalam terang (Mazmur 119:105).

HIDUPLAH SEBAGAI ANAK-ANAK TERANG.

1 JOHN 1:5-10

“But if we walk in the same light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin” (verse 7). Introduction to the words of the apostle John’s life will take him to the introduction of state of God who is the light. Light that is in God is really light and no darkness at all in Him. So, if the believer is also willing to truly live in the same light as God is in the light, there will be a communion between the believer and God. Early signs that a life in the light is able to recognize himself that he is a sinner in need of mercy and forgiveness of God. People who are not able to recognize his sins even though he professes to believe and live a godly life to God, really has no truth in him that makes his living in the shadow of darkness. Conversely people who are willing to admit he is a sinner and beg mercy and forgiveness of God, then He is faithful and just will forgive and blood of Jesus cleansed of all evil. Circumstances that would bring that person to live in the light and have fellowship with God. Let’s identify ourselves whether we are really living in the light or still in the shadows of darkness. While we still strongly hold the truth yourself, the situation is like we’re wearing sunglasses that keep us can see ourselves clearly state, then remove the sunglasses and identify themselves with honesty. Give the place entirely to the word of God in my heart because that’s the word of God will illuminate our lives so that we do not walk in darkness but in light (Psalm 119:105).

WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT.

1 YOHANES 1:1-4

 “Hidup itu telah dinyatakan, dan kami telah melihatnya dan sekarang kami bersaksi dan memberitakan kepada kamu tentang hidup kekal, yang ada bersama-sama dengan Bapa dan yang telah dinyatakan kepada kami” (ayat 2).    Surat 1 Yohanes diperkirakan timbul antara tahun sembilan puluh dan seratus sepuluh. Dengan adanya kemiripan yang dekat dengan Injil Yohanes, baik mengenai perbendaharaan kata-kata, corak, cara berpikir maupun temanya, dapat dipastikan bahwa penulisnya adalah pribadi yang sama, rasul Yohanes. Keunikan dari surat satu Yohanes adalah tidak ada kepala surat dan penutupnya, tapi langsung berisi pemaparan kebenaran. Penulis berbicara sebagai saksi dari keselamatan yang dari Allah sendiri. Sebagai saksi ia telah melihat dengan mata kepala sendiri, telah meraba dengan tangannya tentang firman hidup yang telah menjadi manusia. Dan semua yang telah ia alami, itulah yang ia saksi kan, tujuannya adalah supaya semua orang yang menerima kesaksiannya dengan menerima hidup kekal dari firman hidup tersebut, beroleh persekutuan antara satu dengan yang lainnya sesama orang percaya, dan persekutuan tersebut adalah persekutuan dengan Bapa dan Anak-Nya, Yesus Kristus. Dan sekarang kita, yang telah menerima kesaksian firman hidup tersebut, dan menerima karunia hidup kekal, hendak nya juga meneladani sikap tersebut dengan membagikannya melalui kesaksian kita. Jangan egois, jangan hanya menikmatinya sendirian, jadilah saksi dari firman hidup yang memberikan hidup kekal tersebut, maka berkat dan kebahagiaan dalam persekutuan dengan Allah dan dengan Anak-Nya, limpah atas kita. Kristus telah mati untuk semua orang, maka sekarang kita yang telah menikmati hidup karenanya tidak  hidup untuk diri sendiri tapi bagi Kristus dengan membagi kabar baik tersebut kepada yang lain (2 Korintus 5:15).

KESELAMATAN DARI ALLAH DIPERUNTUKKAN BAGI SEMUA ORANG.

1 JOHN 1:1-4

“Life has been declared, and we’ve seen it and now we testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which exist together with the Father and who has been declared to us” (verse 2). Letter of 1 John is expected to arise between ninety and one hundred and ten. Given the close similarity with the Gospel of John, both of vocabulary, style, way of thinking as well as theme, it is certain that the writer is the same person, the apostle John. The uniqueness of the letter of John is not head and its cover letter, but immediately contain the exposure of truth. The author speaks as a witness of salvation from God himself. As a witness he had seen with my own eyes, had felt with his hands on the word of life that have become human. And all he has experienced, the things that he testified. the aim is that all who accept his testimony can receive eternal life from the living word, and have fellowship with one another as fellow believers, and fellowship is fellowship with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. And now we, who have accepted the word of live testimony, and receive the gift of eternal life, it also wanted to emulate that attitude to share it through the testimony of our lives. Do not be selfish, do not just enjoy it alone, be the witness of the word of life which gives eternal life, the blessing and happiness in communion with God and with His Son, abundantly upon us. Christ died for everyone, so now we have enjoyed life so do not live for ourselves but for Christ by sharing the good news to others (2 Corinthians 5:15).

2 PETRUS 3:17-18

“Tetapi bertumbuhlah dalam kasih karunia dan dalam pengenalan akan Tuhan dan Juruselamat kita, Yesus Kristus. Bagi-Nya kemuliaan, sekarang dan sampai selama-lamanya” (ayat 18).   Bagi mereka yang hidup menuruti hawa nafsunya kedatangan Tuhan akan datang seperti pencuri, mendatangkan kekeju tan besar. Namun tidak demikian bagi orang yang tahu akan kebenaran dan memang dengan setia menanti kedatangan-Nya. Kepada merekalah Petrus dalam penutup suratnya menasehati supaya mereka tetap waspada agar tidak terseret dalam kesesatan orang-orang yang tidak mengenal hukum, sehingga mereka tidak kehilangan pegangannya yang teguh. Dengan mengetahui keadaan dan juga tantangan dihari-hari zaman akhir, semua orang yang mengenal hukum dan kebenaran Allah seyog-yanya terus mempersiapkan diri dengan terus bertumbuh dalam kasih karunia dan pengenalan akan Tuhan dan Juruselamatnya. Jadi bukan dengan kekuatan dan hikmat manusia untuk dapat bertahan menghadapi tantangan di akhir jaman, tapi didalam kekuatan Allah, yakni dalam pengenalan yang benar akan Tuhan dan juruselamat manusia. Jangan merasa sudah cukup atau berpuas diri dengan keadaan sendiri dalam pengenalan kita akan Tuhan, ingatlah bahwa tantangan kedepan akan semakin berat. Sebaliknya kita harus tetap berjuang untuk terus mengenal Tuhan dan Juruselamat kita dan bertumbuh dalam kasih karunia-Nya. Dengan demikian kita akan menjadi pribadi yang kuat dan tidak mudah terseret arus penyesatan yang juga terus berkembang. Jangan terlena dengan kenyamanan dan kemapanan, justru dengan semua itu kita harus lebih lagi waspada akan penyesatan disekitar kita. Bertumbuhlah terus dalam segala hal dengan tingkat pertumbuhan yang sesuai dengan kepenuhan Kristus sehingga kita tidak diombang-ambingkan oleh rupa-rupa angin pengajaran (Efesus 4:13-16).

ORANG BENAR AKAN BERTUMBUH SEPERTI DAUN MUDA.

  2 Peter 3:17-18

“But the grow-in grace and in knowledge of God and Savior, Jesus Christ. For His glory, now and forever “(verse 18). For those who follow the desires of life coming of the Lord will come like a thief, bring in great consternation. But not so for people who know the truth and indeed faithfully await his arrival. To them Peter in the cover letter advising them to remain vigilant so as not to be dragged into error those who do not know the law, so they do not lose a firm grip. By knowing the circumstances and also the challenges in the last days, everyone who knows the truth of God’s law and should continue to prepare ourselves to continue to grow in grace and knowledge of God and Savior. So it was not with the strength and human wisdom to be able to survive the challenges of the end times, but in the power of God, which is in recognition of the true will of God and savior of man. Do not feel enough or complacent with the situation alone in our recognition of God, remember that the challenge ahead will be more severe. Instead we must keep striving to continue to know our Lord and Savior and grow in His grace. Thus we will be strong personal and not easily swept away the deception that has also been growing. Do not be lulled by the comfort and reliability, even with all that we have to be more aware of the apostasy around us. Grow-up continues in all respects with the growth rate of the fulness of Christ so that we are not swayed by the wind miscellaneous teaching (Ephesians 4:13-16).

2 PETRUS 3:1-16

“Tuhan tidak lalai menepati janji-Nya, sekalipun ada orang yang menganggapnya sebagai kelalaian, tetapi Ia sabar terhadap kamu,karena Ia menghendaki supaya jangan ada yang binasa, melainkan supaya semua orang bertobat” (ayat 9).   Adalah hal yang penting bagi rasul Petrus untuk mengingatkan kepada orang percaya yang tersebar diberbagai tempat supaya selalu mengingat perintah Tuhan Yesus dan juga perkataan para nabi yang kudus zaman dahulu. Demikianlah dalam suratnya yang kedua ini ia kembali mengingatkan akan kedatangan Tuhan Yesus yang kedua kali dan tantangan yang timbul pada masanya. Tampilnya pengejek-pengejek, yaitu mereka yang hidup menuruti hawa nafsunya, yang tidak mau tahu akan kebenaran Allah sehingga bagi mereka kedatangan Tuhan yang kedua kalinyapun di-ejeknya, adalah pertanda nyata hari-hari pada zaman akhir. Belum digenapinya nubuatan tersebut dianggapnya sebagai kelalaian Allah. Tapi semua telah Allah siapkan, bumi yang terpelihara ini pada saatnya akan menuju pada kehancurannya yang dahsyat dan Ia juga tidak lalai untuk menepati janji-Nya. Maka adalah lebih baik untuk menganut pandangan bahwa belum tergenapinya janji kedatangan Tuhan yang kedua kali sebagai kesempatan untuk bertobat dan berusaha untuk hidup tidak bercacat dan tak bernoda dihadapan-Nya, dalam perdamaian dengan Dia. Apalagi bagi kita sekarang yang hidup dipenghujung zaman akhir, mari  kita memanfaatkan kesabaran Tuhan ini sebagai kesempatan untuk memperbaiki dan mempersiapkan diri sebaik-baiknya untuk menyambut kedatangan-Nya, sehingga bagi kita kedatangan-Nya bukan lagi seperti pencuri yang mendatangkan kekejutan. Manfaatkan kesempatan, jangan anggap sepi kesabaran–Nya, maksud kemurahan-Nya adalah menuntun kita pada pertobatan, tapi jika kita menolaknya berarti kita menimbun murka Allah (Roma 2:4-5).

PERHATIKAN KEMURAHAN DAN KEKERASAN-NYA.

2 Peter 3:1-16

“God did not neglect to keep his promise, even if there are people who regard it as negligence, but He is patient with you, not willing that any should perish, but everyone to repent” (verse 9). It is important to the apostle Peter to remind the believers scattered in various places so always remember the commandment of the Lord Jesus and also the holy words of the prophets of old. Thus in this second letter he again warned of the coming of the Lord Jesus’ second coming and the challenges that arise in his time. Appearance-scoffers scoffers, those who obey the desires life, who do not want to know the truth of God so that for them the second coming of the Lord by their ridicule, this is a real sign of the days in the last days. Implementation of these prophecies have not regarded as neglect of God. But everything has been prepared by God, the earth is preserved in time will lead to tremendous destruction and He also will not neglect to keep His promise. So it is better to adopt the view that the promise has not been the implementation of the second coming of the Lord as an opportunity to repent and try to live blameless and spotless before Him, in peace with Him. Especially for us today who live in the last days, let us take advantage of God’s patience this as an opportunity to repair and prepare their best to welcome his coming, so for us His coming like a thief no longer a surprise. Take advantage of the opportunity, do not think is quiet forbearance, mercy His intention is to lead us to repentance, but if we reject it means we hoard God’s wrath upon ourselves (Romans 2:4-5).

2 PETRUS 2:1-22

“Maka nyata, bahwa Tuhan tahu menyelamatkan orang-orang saleh dari pencobaan dan tahu menyimpan orang-orang jahat untuk disiksa pada hari penghakiman” (ayat 9).  Kejahatan terus berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman. Kalau zaman dahulu penyesatan nampak nyata melalui nabi-nabi palsu, maka sesuai zamannya akan tampil guru-guru palsu yang memasukkan pengajaran-pengajaran yang sesat dan membinasakan. Dengan cara hidup yang dikuasai hawa nafsu, mudahlah bagi mereka untuk mendapat banyak pengikut. Mencari untung adalah motivasi mereka sehingga mereka hanya berusaha untuk menye nangkan telinga pendengarnya dengan cerita-cerita isapan jempol. Jika dihadapan manusia mereka hidup dalam hawa nafsu, dihadapan Allah mereka juga bersikap angkuh dan be-rani menghujat apa yang tidak mereka ketahui. Tapi sesungguhnya keadaan mereka itu seperti mata air yang kering, seperti kabut yang dihalau angin. Intinya mereka adalah orang-orang yang murtad, yang kembali lagi dalam dunia lamanya. Tapi untuk segala perbuatan mereka tersebut telah disediakan hukuman dan kebinasaan atasnya tidak akan tertunda, sebab Allah itu adil, Ia akan menghukum setiap kejahatan dan menyelamatkan orang-orang benar. Jangan mempermainkan kemurahan Allah dengan hidup dalam hawa nafsu dan berbagai-bagai bentuk kejahatan. Jangan pernah merasa akan bebas dari hukuman Allah sekalipun sepertinya sekarang semua keadaan baik-baik saja. Tidak ada satu bentuk pe-langgaranpun yang akan bebas dari hukuman dan untuk itu semua ada waktunya. Sekalipun sekarang kita melihat bahwa kefasikan sepertinya menang, tapi ada waktunya hukuman, maka jangan tergoda untuk hidup didalamnya. Tuhan akan membalas setiap orang menurut perbuatannya, hidup kekal kepada mereka yang berbuat baik, tetapi geram dan murka kepada yang tidak taat (Roma 2:6-10).

TUHAN ITU ADALAH ALLAH YANG CEMBURU DAN PEMBALAS.

2 Peter 2:1-22

“So real, that God knows rescue the godly from temptation and know keep the bad guys to be tortured on Judgement day” (verse 9). Crime continues to grow in accordance with the development of the era. If the past is obvious deception through false prophets, then according to his time would appear false teachers who enter the heretical teachings and destroy. But for all their actions has been provided by the punishment and destruction upon them and this will not be delayed, because God is just, He will punish every evil and save the righteous. Do not be toying with God’s grace to live in lust and various forms of crime. Do not ever feel God will be free from punishment even if it seems now all things fine. No single form of abuse will be free from punishment and for it all in good time. Even now we see that the wickedness seems to win, but there’s time will come the punishment, then do not be tempted to live in sin. God will repay each person according to his deeds, eternal life to those who do good, but the fury and wrath on a disobedient (Romans 2:6-10).

GOD IT IS GOD THAT JEALOUS AND AVENGER.

2 PETRUS 1:16-21

“Alangkah baiknya kalau kamu memperhatikannya sama seperti memperhatikan pelita yang bercahaya ditempat yang gelap sampai fajar menyingsing dan bintang timur terbit bersinar didalam hatimu” (ayat 19).      Rasul Petrus memberi kesaksian bahwa apa yang ia beritakan tentang kuasa dan kedatangan Tuhan Yesus Kristus sebagai raja bukanlah cerita isapan jempol, tapi ia sendiri telah menjadi saksi atau menyaksi kan dengan mata kepala sendiri akan kebesaran-Nya. Apa yang telah disampaikan oleh para nabi tentang kemuliaan Kristus telah digenapi, dan Petrus adalah salah satu pribadi yang menyaksikannya diatas gunung yang kudus. Untuk itu ia mendorong orang percaya supaya mau memperhatikan bahkan terus memperhatikan kebenaran nubuatan firman Tuhan karena firman Tuhan itu sendiri bagaikan pelita yang bersinar dalam kegelapan yang menyinari hati sehingga orang yang memperhatikannya tidak akan tersandung maupun tersesat. Namun demikian, karena nubuat-nubuat dalam Kitab Suci adalah karya Roh Kudus, maka itu tidak boleh ditafsirkan menurut kehendak sendiri tapi juga melalui peran Roh Kudus juga. Bukan hanya kemuliaan Kristus yang telah digenapi yang karenanya menjadi dasar pelayanan orang percaya, tapi nubuat tentang kedatangan-Nya kedua kali untuk menjemput umat kepunyaan-Nya pasti juga akan digenapi, bahkan semua apa yang tertulis dalam Kitab Suci pasti digenapi. Dan kita akan tahu apa yang sudah dan akan digenapi ketika kita mau memperhatikan firman Tuhan. Bukan sekedar memperhati kan tapi memperhatikan dengan seksama seperti memperhatikan pelita yang menyala dalam kegelapan, perlu kesungguhan dan rasa perlu dengan kesadaran bahwa tanpa firman kita hidup dalam kegelapan. Perhatikanlah firman dan kita pasti akan mendapat kebaikan dan percayalah kepada-Nya maka kita akan berbahagia karenanya (Amsal 16:20).

SIAPA BIJAK HATI MEMPERHATIKAN FIRMAN-NYA.

2 Peter 1:16-21

“It would be nice if you watched just as a lamp that illuminated a dark place till dawn and star rises in your hearts” (verse 19). The Apostle Peter testified that what he preached about the power and coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as king is not a groundless story, but he had personally witnessed or seen with my own eyes to His greatness. What has been communicated by the prophets about the glory of Christ had been fulfilled, and Peter is one person who saw it on the holy mountain. For that he would encourage believers to continue to pay attention to even consider the truth of God’s prophetic word for the word of God itself is like a lamp that shines in the darkness that illuminate the heart so that people who pay attention will not stumble or get lost. However, because of the prophecies in the Bible is the work of the Holy Spirit, then it should not be interpreted according to the will of its own but also through the role of the Holy Spirit as well. Not just the glory of Christ who has fulfilled the basic services therefore become a believer, but his prophecy about the coming of the second time to pick up His own people must also be fulfilled, even all of what is written in Scripture must be fulfilled. And we will know what has been and will be fulfilled when we want to pay attention to the word of God. Not just pay attention, but look closely at such a lamp is lit in the darkness, it is necessary seriousness and sense of need by the realization that without the word we live in darkness. Notice the word and we will definitely get a good and believe in Him then we will be happy so (Proverbs 16:20).

2  PETRUS 1:3-15

“Karena itu, saudara-saudaraku, berusahalah sungguh-sungguh, supaya panggilan dan pilihanmu makin teguh. Sebab jikalau kamu melakukannya, kamu tidak akan pernah tersandung” (ayat 10).   Sebagai hamba dan rasul Kristus Yesus, Petrus merasa bahwa sebelum ia menanggalkan kemah tubuhnya, ia berke wajiban untuk mengingatkan kepada orang percaya yang menerima dan membaca suratnya akan pangilan dan pilihan Allah atas mereka. Petrus juga berharap bahwa sesudah kepergiannya mereka tetap mengingat semua yang ia ajarkan. Karena Allah telah mengaruniakan segala sesuatu yang berguna untuk hidup saleh oleh pengenalan akan Dia, maka orang percaya harus terus berjuang untuk menambahkan kepada imannya kebajikan, pengetahuan, penguasaan diri, ketekunan, kesalehan, kasih akan saudara-saudara dan kasih akan semua orang. Semua itu akan membuat orang percaya menjadi giat dan berhasil dalam usahanya untuk mengenal Kristus Yesus dengan benar. Perjuangan selanjutnya adalah berusaha sungguh-sungguh supaya panggilan dan pilihan Allah makin teguh. Hasilnya adalah karunia hak penuh untuk memasuki Kerajaan kekal, yaitu Kerajaan Tuhan dan Juruselamat manusia, Yesus Kristus. Luar biasa berkat yang terkandung dalam panggilan dan pilihan Allah atas kita. Dan bila kita mengerti dan menyadari akan hal itu , maka kita tidak akan mudah melepasnya, bahkan kita pasti akan berjuang untuk mempertahankannya apa pun tantangannya. Namun memang benar bahwa tanta-ngan kedepan akan semakin berat, untuk itu kita harus lebih lagi bersungguh-sungguh berusaha supaya panggilan dan pilihan Allah atas kita semakin teguh. Teramat besar kekayaan kemuliaan yang terkan-dung dalam panggilan Allah yang menjadi bagian kita, maka, berusahalah sungguh-sungguh supaya panggilan dan pilihan-Nya atas kita makin teguh (Efesus 1:18).

INGAT, BANYAK YANG DIPANGGIL TAPI SEDIKIT YANG DIPILIH.

2 Peter 1:3-15

“Therefore, brethren, seek earnestly, so call and the choice more firmly. For if you do, you will never stumble “(verse 10). As a servant and apostle of Christ Jesus, Peter felt that before he took off his tent, he was obliged to remind the believers who received and read a letter will be answering and choice of God upon them. Peter is also hoped that after his departure they still remember everything he taught. Because God has blessed all that useful for godly living by the knowledge of Him, then the believer must continue to strive to add to faith virtue, knowledge, self-control, diligence, piety, love of the brethren and love to all people. All of that will make people believe to be viable and successful in his attempt to get to know Christ Jesus correctly. Continuing struggle is trying earnestly to God’s call and the firm selected. The result is a gift of the full right to enter the eternal kingdom, namely the Kingdom of God and Savior of men, Jesus Christ. Incredible blessing contained in the call and the choice of God upon us. And if we understand and are aware of it, then we will not easily let go, even we would struggle to defend any challenge. But it is true that the challenge ahead will be heavier, for that we need even more earnestly trying to make a call and God’s choice for our growing firm. Very big riches contained in the glory of God’s call to be part of us, then, try earnestly to the call and his choice for our growing firm (Ephesians 1:18).

2  PETRUS 1:1-2

“Kasih karunia dan damai sejahtera melimpahi kamu oleh pengenalan akan Allah dan akan Yesus, Tuhan kita” (ayat 2).  Rasul Petrus menutup suratnya yang pertama dengan menyertakan berkat damai sejahtera yang akan menyertai orang percaya yang tetap berada dalam Kristus. Salam pembuka dalam suratnya yang kedua kepada setiap orang yang telah beroleh iman sebagai bukti keadilan Allah dan Juru selamat, yakni Yesus Kristus, ia kembali menunjukkan bahwa damai sejahtera hadir bukan seperti durian runtuh, datang begitu saja dalam hidup orang percaya. Selain harus tetap tinggal dalam Kristus, pe-ngenalan akan Allah dan akan Kristus sendiri merupakan hal mutlak untuk dapat menikmati damai sejahtera Allah yang melimpah. Pengenalanpun bukanlah pengenalan sepihak, yakni hanya mengenal pribadi Allah saja atau hanya Kristus saja, melainkan mengenal Allah, Kristus dan Roh Kudus. Dan untuk itu semua dibutuhkan yang namanya perjuangan. Mengenal seorang pribadi dengan benar dibutuhkan perjuangan tersendiri dan juga waktu. Contoh seorang yang hendak menikah sebelumnya pasti berjuang untuk mengenal pasangan nya masing-masing dan itu membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama dan tidak hanya dengan melihatnya sekilas. Bahkan proses saling mengenal dengan lebih baik akan terus berlangsung dalam kehidupan selama kehidupan nikahnya. Demikianlah pengenalan kita akan Allah juga tidak pernah mengalami kata cukup karena Allah teramat dalam untuk diselidiki. Yang terpenting bagi kita adalah terus berusaha untuk menge nal Allah dengan benar dan sesuai dengan firman-Nya kita akan dilimpahi dan menikmati damai sejahtera dan kasih karunia-Nya. Marilah kita berusaha sungguh-sungguh untuk mengenal Tuhan dan Ia akan muncul seperti fajar dan datang seperti hujan untuk melimpahi kita dengan damai sejahtera-Nya (Hosea 6:3).

ALLAH MENYUKAI PENGENALAN AKAN DIA LEBIH DARI SEGALA KORBAN.

2 Peter 1:1-2
“The grace and peace to overwhelm you by the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (verse 2). The Apostle Peter closes his first epistle to include the blessing of peace that will accompany believers who remain in Christ. Greeting in his second letter to everyone who has been allotted faith as evidence of the justice of God and Savior, Jesus Christ, he again showed that the peace comes not like a windfall, just came to me in the lives of believers. In addition to remain in Christ, knowledge of God and Christ’s own will is essential to be able to enjoy the peace of God in abundance. The introduction is not the introduction of unilateral, ie only know God personally or only Christ alone, but to know God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. And for that all required whose name the struggle. Know a person with care needs its own struggle and also in time. Example of a previous marriage who would surely struggle to get to know their partners each and it takes quite a long time and not just looking at a glance. Even the process to know each other better will continue to take place in life for a life of illegitimate. Thus the introduction of God we will also never have enough because God’s word very in to be investigated. The most important thing for us is to continue to strive to know God properly and in accordance with His word we will be overwhelmed and enjoy the peace and grace. Let us seek earnestly to know God and He will appear like the dawn, and come like rain to overwhelm us with His peace (Hosea 6:3).

GOD LIKES KNOWING HIM, MORE THAN THE  SACRIFICES.
