Dalam Damai Sejahtera ( Prosper in Peace )

1 PETRUS 5:12-14

“Berilah salam seorang kepada yang lain dengan cium yang kudus. Damai sejahtera menyertai kamu sekalian yang berada dalam Kristus. Amin” (ayat 14).  Petrus menutup suratnya yang pertama dengan menyertakan salamnya. Dengan perantaraan Silwanus yang ia anggap sebagai saudara yang dapat diperca yai, ia berusaha untuk menasehati jemaat yang ada dalam perantauan. Nasehat-nasehat itu adalah kasih karunia Allah, maka ia mendorong mereka untuk berdiri teguh didalamnya. Pada akhirnya Petrus menyer takan berkat damai sejahtera Allah bagi mereka. Tapi perlu disadari dan diperhatikan bahwa berkat damai sejahtera tersebut akan menyertai dan menjadi bagian mereka yang tetap tinggal dalam Kristus. Tanda bahwa seorang benar-benar tetap tinggal dalam Kristus adalah mereka tidak hidup menurut tingkah laku dunia, tapi tetap mengembangkan gaya hidup yang sesuai dengan panggilannya sebagai orang percaya, karena tidak mungkin Allah memberikan damai sejahtera-Nya sementara yang bersangkutan hidup dalam rupa-rupa hawa nafsu dan persahabatan dengan dunia. Damai sejahtera Allah menghadirkan ketenangan dalam hidup kita. Damai sejahtera Allah membuat kita kuat dan tidak takut menghadapi berbagai bentuk tantangan dan penderitan karena kebenaran. Damai sejahtera Allah membuat kita tidak kuatir menjalani kehidupan kita sehari-hari dengan berbagai kebutuhannya. Tapi ketahuilah bahwa damai sejahtera akan di limpahkan Allah kepada orang yang hidup benar dan berkenan kepada-Nya, yakni kepada setiap orang yang tidak hidup dalam hawa nafsu dunia, tapi yang mau dan rela melakukan kehendak-Nya dengan setia. Menjadi ciptaan baru dan hidup dalam kehendak Allah melalui tuntunan firman-Nya, itulah yang akan membuat damai sejahtera Allah dilimpahkan atas kita (Galatia 6:15-16).

 HIDUPLAH DALAM DAMAI SEJAHTERA ALLAH.

1 PETER 5:12-14

“Give greetings to one another with a holy kiss. Peace be with you all who are in Christ. Amen “(verse 14). Peter closes his first epistle to include greeting. With the mediation of Silvanus, which he regarded as brothers who can be trusted, he tried to advise the congregation who is in overseas. Advice that is the grace of God, so he encouraged them to stand firm in it. In the end, thanks to Peter include the peace of God for them. But we need to realize and note that the blessing of peace will accompany and be part of those who remain in Christ. Signs that a truly remain in Christ is that they do not live according to the behavior of the world, but still develop a lifestyle consistent with his calling as a believer, because it is impossible that God gives His peace while living in the respective varieties of weather lust and friendship with the world. And the peace of God to bring peace in our lives. And the peace of God makes us strong and not afraid to face various forms of challenge and suffering because of righteousness. And the peace of God makes us not worry live our lives everyday with different needs. But know that the peace will be given by God to the people who live right and pleasing to Him, that is to everyone who does not live in a world of lust, but who want and are willing to do His will faithfully. Being a new creation and live in the will of God through the guidance of his word, that’s what will make the peace of God bestowed upon us (Galatians 6:15-16).LIVE IN PEACE GOD PROSPER.
